Azamara
Club Cruises is a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean
International and was formed as a premium plus brand to
compete with Oceania cruise lines unique market
position. When RCI acquired Fonatour (one of Spain's
leading cruise lines) it acquired two of bankrupt
Renaissance Cruise Line's "R" class ships. After
being completely refurbished, they were launched as Azamara's
initial fleet. Azamara features port intensive
itineraries coupled with excellent cuisine and a smaller
ship experience.
