Sailed 12-14-08 out of San Diego, CA to Acapulco, Ixtapa and Manzanillo. Carnival was great (food, staff & ship). A couple of the shore excursions were not good. Forget the Acapulco Beach Break unless you enjoy being continually pestered by locals trying to sell you cheap junk. They continually pestered us on the beach to the point it was not enjoyable. Also beware, the Deep Sea Fishing Excursion in Ixtapa is a crap shoot. For the $130+ price tag per person, they need to be able to more consistently allow the customers to land a big fish. On our charter boat of 6 people, only 3 caught anything and those 3 fish were tiny. This excursion was supposed to be to land a big Tuna, Shark or other Sailfish. Indeed that was a disappointment! Also the charter boat guide was less than interested in his guests or the experience they were having. I would not recommend that excursion. The Manzanillo Colonial Tour however was excellent!! Worth every penny. Hope this helps someone!
