OMG.. Don't take this cruise if you want to relax. The
decorator of this ship used 10 billion pink circles to
decorate the interior, tons of black 4" square tiles, black
granite floors and mauve leather and trim all over this
whale. Cigarette smoke filled many of the areas of the ship
that were not supposed to be smoking areas. There were also
too many smoking areas on the ship.
Lido restaurant buffet staff
stood around when there were tables that had dirty plates on
them and guests trying to find a place to sit. They never
came around to ask you to refill your drink or offer water.
The lines were always long in the buffet areas, always had
to wait for anything you wanted. Bar waiters in the main
lobby had to be flagged down if you wanted them to approach
you and take a drink order.
They too spent a lot of time
hovering behind the bar talking with other staff. Lots of
screaming kids running around the ship. It was my fault for
taking a cruise that is really oriented for families.
THE GOOD THINGS:
John Heald, the cruise director was great, he had the best
sense of humor.
The shows, the music and dancers are great.
The staff (once you were able to get their attention) were
very nice and cordial.
The guests were very friendly and we had a very nice
experience meeting and talking with many of them.
