My husband and I decided we needed a get-away. I visited Carnival's website and found a 3-day cruise to Nowhere. Pricing was good and booking on-line was easy. We drove to Norfolk from Maryland. It was a holiday weekend so traffic flow was good. When we arrived the shuttle took us to Registration. There were lots of people but when they opened, it went fast. The elevators were not working which caused hardship for some who could not take the steps or disabled. Going thru Security checkpoint was fast. When we got on the ship we went directly to our room, dropped off the luggage and headed for the Lido Deck. The buffet was good. As a matter of fact the food on the Lido Deck was better than the dining room. The food in the Pacific dining room wasn't that great. I ordered Black Tiger shrimp as an appetizer but it looked and tasted like shrimp from a grocery store. Most of my time was spent on the Lido deck with so many activities going on I couldn't make all of them.

I enjoyed the concerts that were shown on the Big-Screen. On Sunday afternoon, that's when I got the queezy's, took a sick pill, laid down for a couple of hours and was up and at it again. The show was good and I enjoyed the "Village People" and even remembered how to do the YMCA. They're great dancers. Afterwards we went to the club and had a good time. However, the DJ could try to up his dance music and have a better collection of CD's instead of house music. We also went to the casino--lost my money but it's OK--it was fun. The live band was great! People really enjoyed them. The crew was very courteous and polite, better than some of the guests. On Sunday my husband was disappointed because the Sports Bar only showed certain games and there were many Redskins fans aboard. Would I do this again, of course. I was amazed how organized they were in moving large crowds of people.  Hope Carnival considers running a cruise to No Where from Baltimore! It's closer to Home!
