I took my daughters for our annual Christmas birthday cruise
on the MSC Lirica. The ship itself was nice, the food was
great and the chocolate tasted like chocolate. The waiter we
had was very nice, but was way over worked. They didn't
appear to have the staff that other cruise lines have. The
breakfast waiters didn't seem to speak much English and the
glasses were so small that your drink was gone in one gulp.
I asked for ice tea and they looked at me like I was from
outer space. They weren't very accommodating like RCCL or
some of the other cruise lines that I've been on.
The staff behind the pursers
desk spoke very little English and didn't seem to want to
help you.
We also found
out that the information book that is placed in your cabin
has inaccurate information, as it advised us that dinner was
at 6:00 PM when it was actually was at 5:15 PM. When we got
to the dining room at 5:45 the doors were closed and you
weren't allowed in. Don't be more than 5 minutes late for
dinner or you are not allowed in. We had to eat upstairs in
the buffet, the food was cold and a very limited variety
with only 2 desserts to choose from. I would not recommend
this cruise line again to my customers, I made the mistake
of offering the cruise to some of my clients and they all
said they wouldn't cruise with them again.
